one-of-a-kind piece created from stone to silver by our own hands. My husband and I personally purchased this turquoise from the Kingman Turquoise Mine in Arizona, and he hand-cut and polished the stone into this beautiful freeform cabochon, showcasing its dreamy blue-green color and natural earthy matrix.
I handcrafted the pendant in sterling silver using a shadowbox-style design, setting the turquoise within a recessed oxidized background and surrounding it with a substantial heavy-gauge sterling silver wire border. The dimensional construction creates depth around the stone and gives the pendant a bold, sculptural presence. A single sterling silver wildflower rests along the edge as a small organic detail against the heavier silverwork.
Every part of this piece celebrates the handmade process—from selecting the turquoise at the mine, to my husband cutting the stone, to building and finishing the sterling silver setting at my bench.
Finished with an 18” sterling silver rope chain.
